Home-tek was established in 2001 in West Yorkshire, England and rapidly became a household name in the electrical appliance industry in the UK - selling millions of products over the past 22 years. Founder and CEO Jamie Lennox has over 45 years' experience in the electrical industry. "The Home of Innovation" is a claim which Home-tek is keen to live up to, and every year has seen the release of a stream of innovative and highly demonstrable products. Demonstrable products by definition need demonstration, and Home-tek products have always been popular with TV shopping channels, mail order and Internet retailers where the features and benefits of the products can more easily be explained and demonstrated. However, over the years Home-tek products have been available via almost every major electrical retailer. Home-tek has played a major part in the development of the steam cleaning market in the UK selling more than 1.7 million units in the UK market.
